Should you go with the latest trend for engagement rings?

Is it the latest trend that is most important when it comes to engagement rings? I don't think so! You are going to be wearing that ring for a long period of time and the trend will keep changing during this course. In fact, there are a few other factors that are to be kept in mind while getting your enagagement ring. It is your taste, style and understanding what will suit your hand that you have to be careful about. By taste i mean the kind of jewelry that you like - for eg: do you often buy silver colored jewelry? If so, then a yellow color engagement ring will not go with your regular wear jewelry. Similarly your style! And last but not least is understanding what will suit your hand! The shape and design of the ring should complement your hand! For instance, oval and marquise go well on short fingers while long fingers carry the princess cut better. Also a delicate design is what will suit small hands with short fingers and bold designs complement long fingers.
