To make money online you need to sell something that people want, this doesn’t necessarily mean having a physical product. Try the most demanded travel industry today. Making money online is not so easy. There are tons of ways to make money online, if you have website having good & quality contents & have enough traffic., you can join google adsense program to earn money from your website.

promote yourself first.

Get your name out there and build "brand" awareness. This is the same thing that the big corporations do... Nike, Microsoft, McDonald's, etc. Once you are used to seeing the "name" and "brand" you generally "follow" them... even if you're not a buyer yet. But, this is the kicker, as you see more of the "brand", you become curious, and follow-up on the company. Alright, you haven't made a decision to buy just yet, but more NEW commercials (TE exchanges, PPC, info-mercials, radio advertisements, billboards, TV commercials, etc, etc), and you are left wondering, "what is this person or company all about". This, curiosity, may lead you to eventually become a customer. That is what advertising is all about... "EXPOSURE"!

You always want "exposure" to effective. You want results! You want every person to "click, call, or buy directly" on your ads. You want to fine-tune your marketing to make every person take action... but it won't ever happen... which brings us back to "brand" name. They may not buy right now, but they may buy later.

So now I've created a paradox... advertise like crazy, but what do I promote or sell?

The best method may work for someone else, but maybe not you. Nike only sells shoes... not sodas, because they understand what the "shoe market" wants. McDonald's only sells burgers, etc.

There is no "best method" other than "brand" and "build" yourself (or company). Give something that people want or need.

To reiterate what others have said here in past posts (and what others have said outside of this forum):

1: Brand yourself - put your name or company out there. The method could be TE traffic, PPC traffic, search engine traffic, billboard, radio, television, etc... (the method of advertising is a completely different topic all together)

2: Build a list - could be an email autoresponder, or direct-marketing "snail- mail"... or even telephone number (ugh... telemarketers)

3. Stay in touch with your "list", ie: your current customers or soon-to-be customers

rinse, repeat.

All people ask the same question and get many replies to their queries, don’t know whether there are really benefited. There are lots of ways to make it going online but if my opinion is to be considered I think that you should make a good research before you indulge in anything. I had come across a good site which provided me tools to be successful online. It gave me ideas to www.omnisoftsol.com make money online in many ways. If you are serious in making money online then you should have a go at it. It does not charge you to visit but may be you can get charged with success and be successful online.
