Hello there,

I recently submitted a press release (http://www.malebits.com/article758.html) and the submission form said "HTML is fine, but double check those URLs and HTML tags!"

The first few words of the press release, i.e. "Text-Messaging for Business", which is our trading name, is supposed to be a hyperlink to our homepage but this link seems to have been removed from the live version of the press release.

So is html allowed or not?

If there was something wrong in the manner in which the release was submitted, please let me know so that it doesn't happen again, but otherwise, if you could be kind enough to add our link back to the article as it was origially, that would be most appreciated.

Html is fine, but not on the front page, so just leave it out of the headline text area but within the extended area is ok.

Thanks

I think it would be good if mention that on the submit news page.

At the moment it reads "Story Text: (HTML is fine, but double check those URLs and HTML tags!)" - i thought that "story text" was the main body and i didn't even put anything in the "extended text".

It would make more sense for us if you changed "story text" to something like "Headline Text (HTML is not allowed here)".

Wouldn't you agree?

In fact we moved the bulk of the story text to the extended text area (we often do that, that template is not clear) so I agree, we should add something else in there.

Thanks for the prompt.

I'm happy you agree.

We'll be more careful with our next press release - although it would be appreciated if you could include an active link back to our site in this one.

Thanks.
