Anyone into using VOIP yet? I'm usuaing Skype pretty exclusiviely for calls both incoming and outgoing on my broadband here in the office.
I've hosted conferences also which has seen 4 participants, I think skype currently allows up to 5.
Anyone else using this type of phone service? |

Yep. We use Skype quite a bit for business. I work as a search engine optimization analyst for an online optical company, FramesDirect.com (http://www.framesdirect.com) which is based in Houston, Texas. I, however, live in Palm Springs, California and we have another employee in Ohio and are starting operations in South Africa. Until recently, we had an employee in India (she's now back in Houston).
Anyway, I spend a good part of the day speaking into my laptop on conference calls as if it were a speakerphone. It's great. It's hard to believe that I'm speaking to someone in Houston or even South Africa sitting at my desk without picking up a phone.
Naturally, quality is sometimes not as good as land line. I get a dropped call now and then, but I get that on my Big Brand cell service, too.
We're very pleased with Skype and think it's the next big thing.
