George Smart realized there was more to the mythos of the Knights Templar, legendary protectors of the Holy Grail, and began an eight-year project that continues today.
Smart, like many of us, knew the Knights Templar only as crusaders in the 12th century. But in 1996, he read the bestselling Baigent, Lincoln, and Leigh book 'Holy Blood, Holy Grail.' Their controversial research opened his eyes to a fascinating 800-year-old set of mysteries involving the Templars and Jesus, Mary Magdalene, and the development of Christianity. Way before The Da Vinci Code became popular, Smart spent years researching these mysteries including travel to Canada, France, and the UK. His passion and commitment to this topic has changed his life, and he is certain there is much more to this story yet to come. His extensive notes detailing the year-by-year activities of the Templars and other medieval players are the basis for his first book, ‘The Knights Templar Chronology.’
Smart believes the Templar records and artifacts, once discovered, will dramatically challenge conventional beliefs generated by the Bible -- and also bring the world closer together. His book is dedicated to further active research to unearth their legacy.
