NEWBURY PARK, CA – Six months ago, Minimus, LLC launched the international e-commerce site www.minimus.biz, carrying a broad range of travel size items. It has quickly become ‘the’ place to go for travel size items, and Minimus recently expanded to a larger warehouse facility to accommodate its growth.

To find their favorite brands of the travel sizes, many would go to their local pharmacy or supermarket only to find that they didn’t carry their favorite brand, nor did they carry the selection of items they wanted. Minimus.biz offers the solution. “We have a growing inventory of several hundred products,” notes company marketing vice-president and co-owner, Paul Shrater.
The offerings are wide-ranging: from beverages such as cocoas, coffees, and teas; to food products such as cereals, condiments, dressings, and jellies; to personal care items such as soaps, hand cleansers, shampoos, shaving creams, and toothpastes; to a full complement of pharmacy items from headache medicines, to poison ivy wipes, to hospital-grade ointments. In many cases, these items, such as small packets of salad dressings, were not even available to the retail consumer until Minimus offered them on their site.
Shrater adds, “We have business travelers who want their favorite brands in the small sizes, travelers on a diet who like the individual packets of non-fat salad dressings, overseas travelers, campers, backpackers, RV-ers... If someone wants travel size items, they’re now coming to us.”
In October, Minimus partnered with Soldiers’ Angels (www.soldiersangels.org), an organization that adopts soldiers stationed overseas and sends them regular care packages, to create a line of care packages for the soldiers. Several of the items now offered by Minimus were a direct result of soldier requests.
Apart from its retail business, Minimus has a very active wholesale presence, selling to companies, organizations, city governments, charities, and more.
