SAN FRANCISCO—InsideOut Travel Magazine, a bimonthly online publication for travel enthusiasts, is hosting a happy hour to celebrate its sixth edition from 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24.
The event, which will be held at Club EZ5, is designed to bring together travelers to share stories from the road and tips on their favorite destinations. The event is open to anyone interested in traveling, from diehard backpackers to those seeking advice for an upcoming trip.
Along with lively conversations and travel story swaps, the magazine’s photo editor Alex Robinson will present a slide show of some of his most compelling shots from around the world. Editor Helene Goupil and Publisher Josh Krist will also be on hand, giving out prizes from companies such as Walkabout Travel Gear, Travelers’ Tales and the Pearsons Venture Group.
“We host these travelers happy hours every other month in San Francisco and we hope that more of these will start in other cities. It’s fun to get budget travelers together,” said Helene Goupil.
In the magazine’s latest edition, there are articles on Urumqi, China, Jaisalmer, India and Peru, as well as articles on guidebook writing and a traveler’s first aid kit.
Club EZ5 is located at 682 Commercial St. in San Francisco.
