An entry-level learning management system (LMS) has been launched by learning
services provider, AdVal Group. The company’s new product provides a functional, practical and affordable learning management solution that is fully conformant
with AICC and SCORM industry standards.
The system is designed to be simple to use: loading student information or
course data can be effected quickly and easily and its management reporting
capabilities offer a flexible and effective means to manage multi-site working
with a high degree of security.
“What we aimed for and have achieved is a system that comes without costly
features and add-ons that most organisations don’t normally need,”
says AdVal’s Programme Director, Peter Bonfield.
Customer research
The AdVal LMS concept grew out of a series of courseware projects developing
content for customers who did not have an LMS.
“Our customers have been telling us they want something that is reliable,
quick and easy to use at an affordable price,” says Peter Bonfield. “LMS
has been developed to meet their needs.
“It’s the appropriate solution for most e learning implementations
and one we have tried to keep ‘real’ in every way,” he adds.
“This is an LMS for real organisations with real training needs to manage
real learning for real people and which delivers real business benefits.”
The more complicated a system is, the more time and effort having an LMS requires,
argues AdVal. “Our view is keep it simple and easy to use and match a
solution to what customers really need and can afford,” says Bonfield.
AdVal manages a wide client portfolio spanning commercial and public sector
markets.
