Newport News, Virginia – On June 15, 2008, Collier Research Corporation launched the first community user forum on its website, www.HyperSizer.com. Users can register for free and post questions, tips or suggestions, or just browse the multitude of information available. The forum not only answers common user questions, but will be used to announce new capabilities, and gather feedback from users on any improvements to this widely-used engineering software. Currently, information on software use, installation, analysis methods and project applications is available online. HyperSizer is used by aerospace industry leaders such as Boeing, Lockheed Martin, NASA to perform airframe weight optimization with traditional metallic materials and advanced composite laminates. HyperSizer is an engineering tool to be used by both designers and stress analysts. From preliminary design all the way to detailed final analyses, HyperSizer is used for
system-level structural trade studies, detailed part sizing, and to generate margin-of-safety stress reports required for FAA certification and in-service support.
