Contributed by erthlng on Tuesday, May 20 @ 15:24:39 EDT

With over 600,000 antiques and collectibles in its online price guide, Kovels.com today released its top 20 list of the most popular searches for April 2008.

Cleveland, Ohio - May 8, 2008 - Kovels.com (http://www.kovels.com), the Web's largest free price guide for antiques and collectibles, today released its list of the top 20 searches for April. The Kovels' top 20 list is based on the results of hundreds of thousands of searches that took place on its website during the month of April, 2008.

People use price guides for a number of reasons, usually to determine the value of an item that they own. If an item isn't listed on the top 20 list, it doesn't mean it is unpopular or that there isn't a demand for it. It only means that in April there was less interest in finding prices for that item.

1. Jewelry - No movement, 2. Occupied Japan - Up from #3, 3. Silverplate - Up from #4, 4. Stoves - Down from #2, 5. Coca-Cola - Up from #6, 6. World War II - Down from #5, 7. Capo-Di-Monte - Up from #8, 8. Furniture - Down from #7, 9. Planters Peanuts - Not listed last month, 10. Lighters - No movement, 11. Knife - Down from #9, 12. McCoy - Not listed last month, 13.
