Internet: AFFILIATE MARKETING FUELLING RETAIL INDUSTRY ROCKETS

Research reveals the growing inclination of retail industry towards affiliate marketing and it's marketing channels! Retail companies are spending on marketing channels like never before, with a majority of them going gaga on consumer generation in larger volumes as a result.

A recent study done by E-consultancy revealed that investment in affiliate marketing from the retail industry has taken a high rise and is going to integrate by every passing day. Affiliate marketing is now sighted as a major cost effective marketing channel by the retail investors. As stated by the report, 95 percent of the marketers using this channel found this marketing strategy as 'very cost effective',with 88 percent of them also finding it beneficial for e-mail marketing. In a handful, the report mentions: • Retailers spend 19% of their online marketing budget on affiliate marketing • 71% of retailers expect to increase investment in affiliate marketing over the next two years • 60% of retail brands see a poorly converting website as a barrier This sees the online marketing budget for retail industry one percent above the average online budget for all industries, thus giving signs of what is yet to arrive.62 percent of the retailers stated that they are spending more in the channel than two years ago, and 27 percent of these have increased their budget up by a quarter for affiliate marketing. A further 10 percent have graded it up by 50 percent and a further 5 percent are spending upto a 100 percent more. An overall evaluation tells us that 71 percent of retailers are set to invest more in affiliate marketing in the next two years. Meenakshi wali,the Co-Founder and Business Development Head,Rupiz Affiliates explains that the retail industry has been expeditious in adopting this marketing channel, and in order to maintain the growth,the industry needs to effectively mark some issues as tracking sales and poorly converting websites. Improving communication and being highly informative about their products is also what retailers need to take care of. She stated that affiliate marketing channel should be the biggest factor when it comes to helping clients with these issues. This trend thus is seen by affiliate marketing big-wigs like Rupiz Affiliates,as the next footrest to the digital marketing trodder.
