Merrill, WI, March 21, 2008 -- Dan Nicholson recently opened his GPS superstore at www.AskGPS1st.com, and is now supplementing his customer-oriented site with a new blog at www.GPSBest.net. With both a commercial and informative site at his disposal, Dan is improving his store's customer service while simultaneously communicating with his shoppers directly.
"We feel that opening our first web site at this time in our lives, we are showing that we are staying up with the times," explains Dan Nicholson, founder of www.AskGPS1st.com. After retirement, Dan opted to go into business for himself, providing a product much in demand. "In the USA, everyone has the opportunity to open a business to improve their life," he says, happy to be part of the Internet eCommerce culture. "We chose a product we feel everyone can use. www.AskGPS1st.com opened in the beginning of 2008 in response to Dan's desire to travel. "We have grandkids in Alabama and great-grandkids in California," he explains. "There are places we still haven't seen in the US, and we would like to be able to check out everything we can."
This led Dan to research GPS technology, and ultimately led to his joining the industry. Keeping the site customer-oriented is a primary goal, so Dan began a business blog at www.GPSBest.net, opening up his business for discussion. "We believe that we can improve what we offer on our web site by seeing what is popular with the public," he says, illustrating the goal of the informational blog. "With the various uses of a GPS, we can discuss a variety of different subjects: working out, hiking, hunting, fishing, and what we want to do - traveling." The blog is also a source of information on important goings-on at www.AskGPS1st.com, including their current promotions.
"We opened up the web site with free shipping and a 10% discount if you buy two units," says Dan, who intends to vary the specials and discounts regularly. "We have always been the 'little guy', and we will treat our customers with the respect they deserve. Customer satisfaction is our goal."
