Cortex to launch Beautiful™ a magazine featuring plus size fashion
Cortex Publishing plans to revive the 14+ magazine market, and pick up where Mode magazine left off. The North American launch of Beautiful magazine has been scheduled for the summer of 2005.
TORONTO, ON (April 14, 2005) – Cortex Publishing plans to revive the 14+ magazine market, and pick up where Mode magazine left off. The North American launch of Beautiful magazine has been scheduled for the summer of 2005. The editorial will be a blend of Beauty, Love, Sex and Relationships, non-diet related Health coverage featuring "Vogue-type executed" fashion editorials. The size positive editorial pillars will be supplemented with a variety of celebrity interviews, book & movie reviews, social issue coverage and other lifestyle topics.
Beautiful will speak to nearly 70 million North American women, and will be published bi-monthly as separate Canadian and U.S. editions.
The publication is poised to become a venue for the Fashion and Beauty industry to demonstrate their acceptance and elevate the full figured woman to a fashion icon in her own right and to embrace all women regardless of size.
