What options are left for moms not in the financial position to stay home

For years moms have tried to have their cake and eat it too by making an attempt to be home with the kids and still feel they contribute to the home.

For many the attempt fails, after they try to make that income selling over-exposed products to friends, family and neighbors.

These “business opportunities”, such as Tupperware, Party Lite, Avon and Mary Kay seem like a good idea at the start, but many find the market is over-saturated and extremely competitive. Some of them require you to pre-purchase expensive inventory, which quickly defeats the purpose of “working at home”, since by week two of your new ‘job’ you are already in the red.

First Class Furnishings, a family owned and operated company in Glen Ellyn, offers a new opportunity with a whole new range of product. After all, a person can only own so many candles, eye shadow colors and storage containers, right?

With more product options to offer a customer, in a market that isn’t already too well known for the representatives to develop a customer base. They sell unique home décor, garden accents, home furnishings and gift items you don’t see every time you pass a kitchen table or office counter.

Without the higher start-up costs, extreme level of competition and need to carry an inventory of product they may not recouperate their costs for, more moms are finding success in their quest to have it all.
