We Don''t Hate Ebay!

Orlando, Fl October 25, 2004 - Lairds Gallerie, a premier art gallery, announces the opening of their "virtual doors" to the global online market. They started out using the Ebay Marketplace and decided that the Marketplace was full of non related and noncompetitive art galleries that made finding Lairds Gallerie to difficult and fed concerns that Ebay may not provide a compatible image for the gallery.

Lairds Gallerie sells high dollar art. Going off marketing data and the performance that resulted in a poor six-month return from having an Ebay Marketplace store, they made the decision to go off Ebay and enter the world wide market. They still maintain a presence on Ebay, but that is indefinite and only to allow for the transition.

Going online lets them do far more than ever possible with the Ebay format. The web site, http://www.lairdsfineart.com, is easy to navigate, displays art news, and features the work of several artists - some exclusive to the gallery. Another feature is the focused link referrals. The reason this is important is that some sites pile them on with little or no organization. After too many links, the visitor is discouraged to use them at all.

Lairds Gallerie offers a variety of art and art related items. Starting with hard to find, limited edition art reproductions (serigraphs, lithographs, and giclee), Lairds also includes original paintings and etchings. To take the gallery to a different level than their competitors, they offer a line of furniture and decor, all hand made and very unique. They even offer a line of hand carved framed mirrors, with each considered a work of art on its own.

Lairds Gallerie is owned by Laird Harlow. He has been involved in the art world literally from a child with both parents being successful artists. He has fifteen years experience working in and managing art galleries. This is his first online endeavor.
