New catalogue from BBC Business Learning
BBC Learning Business, part of BBC Worldwide, has produced a new catalogue
– for 2004/05 - providing details of all its products and programmes available
for business learning and training purposes.
Among the new offerings in this year’s catalogue are:
Corporate Social Responsibility (see page 33) - a look at one of today’s
biggest concerns in business: ethical business strategy. In the past five years,
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) has moved from the business sidelines
to the mainstream: with 132 of the top 250 UK companies reporting on CSR in
the 12 months to July 2003.
50 Lessons (see page 4) - a collection of business lessons by some of the most
respected leaders in business worldwide;
Get Into (see page 46) - an interactive language learning experience based on
a virtual travel experience.
Beyond Appraisal (see page12) - to help you make sure that your organisation’s
staff development continues productively throughout the year.
The catalogue also includes a Case Studies section – previously known
as ‘Business on TV’ - which showcases titles that support BBC Business
Learning’s training programmes. Taken from popular series like ‘Horizon’
and ‘Blood on the Carpet’, the case studies illustrate real-life
business issues in a range of contexts to provide stimulating and informative
material.
“Voted WOLCE Training Provider of the Year in 2003, we are proud to be
recognised for our innovative approach to learning solutions,” explained
Jonathan Drake, BBC Worldwide’s director of adult learning. “With
our unique flavour of creativity, we produce some of the most cutting-edge training
footage available.
“Employees are the key asset to any organisation, and the world in which
they work and live is constantly changing,” he added.
“To ensure that our products retain their relevance, we are constantly
working on new projects. To help your staff reach their full potential, we have
developed modern and inspired training programmes that enable you to make a
success of your business.”
