PREMIER Biosoft International releases AlleleID

AlleleID helps you design species specific or universal/taxa discrimination oligos for TaqManŽ and molecular beacon assays. AlleleID also supports single template FRET and SYBRŽ Green assays.

Palo Alto, CA August 30, 2005 -- PREMIER Biosoft International today announced the release of a new pioneering product called AlleleID. Using ClustalW multiple sequence alignment, AlleleID analyzes conserved and species specific regions. AlleleID then designs primers and probes to amplify and detect only the species of interest from the mix, or for universal/taxa discrimination assays.

AlleleID designs optimal SYBRŽ Green primers, TaqManŽ probes, FRET probes or molecular beacons assays. Highly specific primers are designed by avoiding cross homologies found by automatically interpreting BLAST search results. Primer efficiency is enhanced by avoiding template secondary structures identified by connecting to the Mfold server. AlleleID can be used to design primers and probes for expression studies or allele discrimination in multiplex experiments. Pre-designed assays can be evaluated as well. For details, please visit:
