Goldmine Customers Left Helpless without Commence
Commence Corporation (www.commence.com) has announced a competitive upgrade program for small businesses currently using the Goldmine contact manager. Commence offers a robust contact manager along with a suite of CRM applications for sales, marketing and customer support. The product is available for deployment in-house or via the web and already support Microsoft Vista and Office 2007.


Larry Caretsky, president of Commence Corporation welcomes the addition of these customers. “Commence has been servicing the SMB sector for twenty years,” noted Caretsky. “A good portion of our business comes from companies that have outgrown traditional contact managers such as ACT and Goldmine. These companies need more then a simple contact manager, but not the cost and complexity of higher end CRM solutions. We are positioned right in the middle of the two, which has served our business very well over the years. Our solution is more comprehensive and flexible then Goldmine yet intuitive and affordable,” according to Caretsky.


Several weeks ago FrontRange Solutions, notified their customers that they were discontinuing any future development of their popular Goldmine standard edition product. The timing of this announcement comes at a critical juncture because the product does not support Microsoft’s new Vista operating system or Office 2007, leaving current users with few options for the future.

Nicole Reed, Customer Service Manager at Commence indicated that, “The FrontRange announcement has triggered a number of calls from Goldmine customers who are asking about migrating to the Commence product. They are concerned and trying to plan a migration path for their business”.
