Executing on the Company Mission: Web Analytics Made Easy(TM) Fireclick, a provider of
comprehensive yet easy-to-use Web analytics solutions, and pioneer of the
browser plug-in that provides site statistics directly on the pages of a Web
site, today announced the general availability of two new tools designed to
ease the burden for online marketers. Available immediately as part of
Netflame, the company's industry-leading application service for Web analysis,
these capabilities will support marketers in their quest to quantitatively
analyze their online campaigns, especially paid and organic search keywords.
Fireclick Reporter(TM)
Fireclick Reporter(TM) is a Microsoft Excel plug-in that allows site
managers to create and distribute Web analysis reports using the familiar
Excel Workbook or spreadsheet. When installed on a PC along with Microsoft
Excel, the Fireclick Reporter can retrieve real time and historical data from
the Netflame network and populate a spreadsheet with desired information,
automatically generating associated charts and graphs. The resulting report
can be saved, used for further analysis, and distributed with ease like any
spreadsheet via e-mail or the Web.
Stacey Howe, International Marketing Manager of Interactive Business at
PUMA AG, has been using a prototype version of the Fireclick Reporter for
several months to help measure online marketing campaigns. To roll-up results
for dozens of PUMA online properties worldwide she has created an Excel
workbook of reports displaying just the data she needs disseminated in the
format she wants. With a few clicks of a mouse the report is updated and
distributed internationally to other managers at PUMA AG.
"It just makes life easier," said Howe. "The Fireclick Reporter makes it
much easier for me to compile data tracking our campaign effectiveness on many
different Web properties. With a couple of clicks it's done and we can move
on to making the important decisions about what to do to improve the results."
Campaign Data Synchronization
As larger fractions of marketing budgets are allocated toward online
campaigns, the need to evaluate the ROI of these campaigns becomes essential.
Campaign Data Synchronization enhances Netflame's campaign tracking module by
providing online businesses with the ability to programmatically import cost
information for online marketing campaigns such as paid search, e-mail,
affiliate programs, and banner ads. This first version of the product can
automatically retrieve accurate and updated keyword cost-per-click (CPC) for
Google paid search campaigns.
Most online retailers conduct paid search campaigns in which they purchase
keywords from search providers such as Google and Overture. Paid search
results are most frequently displayed in order of bid amount, so the actual
cost-per-click is not known until the bid is fulfilled and a visitor actually
clicks through to the retail site. For a single keyword costs can range from
$0.10 to several dollars or more. In order to measure the success and ROI of
a paid search campaign, many marketers manually track this cost information
and attempt to match it with the resulting sales conversions
(orders, revenue).
Fireclick's Campaign Data Synchronization will eliminate this manual,
tedious, inaccurate process and replace it with a simple service that
programmatically retrieves keyword cost information from Google and reports
the resulting orders and revenue, calculating the campaign ROI with no action
required by the marketing manager. Multiple campaigns can be tracked
simultaneously, in real time, and results are summarized in a consolidated
browser-based reporting console.
"At Magazines.com, we provide consumers with over 1,400 discounted
magazine subscription offers, so it is very important for us to be able to
track our ROI on a very detailed level," said Joe Blackmon, marketing manager
at Magazines.com. "Fireclick has been enormously successful in providing us
with a wide range of data that has been extremely relevant in helping us to
make informed decisions. We're really excited about having participated in
the beta launch of this new service, as it allows us to evaluate our various
advertising campaigns, such as paid search, down to every penny spent and
every penny earned. We're glad to be working with a company like Fireclick
that is proactively creating new technologies that help us to manage our
business better than every before."
The Fireclick Reporter is included with all service levels of the Netflame
application service, at no charge. Campaign Data Synchronization is included
in the Netflame Plus and Enterprise service levels only, as part of the
Campaign Tracking module. Current Netflame Enterprise customers can begin
using these products immediately at no extra charge.
Netflame is the Web analytics solution of choice for over 300 Web sites of
all sizes and in diverse industries to improve their performance and achieve
online success. Current customers include leading retailers such as Lillian
Vernon, Guess, RadioShack, Bed Bath & Beyond, Tower Records, Ann Taylor,
