January 2, 2007 - New York, New York - Zonisphere Records is thrilled to announce the worldwide signing of "New York's Sexiest Latina" and beloved songbird, Janid.
With this new $1.2M record deal, Zonisphere plans to incorporate Janid as their flagship artist and plans to expand the "Janid" brand even further through multimedia releases and strategic merchandising and endorsement placements. Under the new deal, Janid grants Zonisphere the sole right to distribute and license her new and existing catalogs as well as her next three releases. Zonisphere will also release a new, physical version of Janid's highly acclaimed second album "ONE", which was previously only available as a digital release.
"I can't think of a better way to kick off the New Year than with a new record deal. I am extremely excited and I can't wait to begin this new chapter of my career. Zonisphere has huge plans for me and an amazing vision--they see the big picture just like I do. Creatively, we're on the same page and I just can't wait to deliver my best work yet," says Janid.
Janid is the first of many new signings planned for the first quarter of releases for Zonisphere Records. She is currently in the studio working on her third album which will be released under Zonisphere in 2008.
